Sandbach RUFC’s main sponsor in the Mini Junior Section, Lightcliffe Skoda, are entering the 2023 Krazy Races. Their team have built a cart and it’s going to be all down hill from there! The event is sponsored by Lightcliffe and other North West businesses in support of the Patryk Milner Fund and you can grab yourself a ring side ticket for just £5.00 and support a worthwhile cause.

Patryk was a member of Sandbach Rugby Union Club and business owner Ian and some fellow mechanics, have built a rugby ball shaped soapbox especially for the event. The go-cart will race down the steep Northwich Castle Hill, around obstacles against other competitors and, hopefully raise in excess of £5,000 for the memorial fund through the just giving page.

Further Lightcliffe has created a VIP winners enclosure at the bottom of the hill, where the race will terminate, and attendees will get a birds-eye view of the finish line. Tickets for the enclosure will be offered to anyone who donates £5 or more to the fund.

Patryk Milner was just seven years old when tragically he died after losing consciousness at his school (Offley Primary Academy) in Sandbach, Cheshire on 2nd Oct 2020. He was taken by air ambulance to Alder Hey Hospital where he sadly lost his fight despite the heroic efforts of doctors and nursing staff.

His parents, Andy and Aggi Milner immediately consented to organ donation, and as a result, an adult and a young child received life-changing organ transplants. To this day, it is still unexplained why Patryk was taken from us, and the event promises to be an emotional day for all the team.
